Lymphatic Love

Think of the Lymphatic system as your drainage and defense system.   Lymphatic works alongside blood vessels and nerves ~they all work together.  Each system relies on the other for support and movement.  Our body is designed to heal if we allow it to.

Why should you think about your lymphatic system?
The lymphatic system is about 3 times larger than your blood circulatory system.    The  lymphatic system does not have a pump other than movement from yourself.   Anything that affects movement affects lymphatic fluid moving to be drained from the body.   If you are in a job that requires more sitting than standing or standing in one place for long periods, this will affect your lymph movement.  Poor lymph movement causes increased fluid to build and not move (swelling).  Postoperative immobility and tissue change, may lead to increased fluid in areas due to poor lymphatic flow to drainage areas.
Ensure circulation and fluid flow is optimal. When fluid is moving properly your body heals faster, and less discomfort is felt.
What does the Lymphatic system do?
Lymphatic vessels carry metabolic waste (cell debris), hormones,  viruses, bacteria, fat cell, protein cell, fungus, cholesterol and cancer cells.. So when areas are choked off all these items aren’t moving to where the body utilizes or excretes, keeps fluid moving to eliminate excess.
Increased fluid in our tissues causes discomfort, heaviness, and slowed healing.
What causes the lymphatic system  to not function optimally?
Immobility, sedentary career, surgery, chemicals, scar tissue, tight muscles, stress, physical accidents/trauma, lymph node removal or shifting, emotional trauma, poor posture, breathing issues, constipation.~~LIFE
How will you feel after an lymphatic treatment?
Initially you could feel tired, perhaps thirsty, light headed for a short time.
Some people feel energized, or lighter, calm, or relaxed
After more than 3 or more treatments you will feel different post treatment than you did initially, your lymph is starting to move better.  Each person experiences lymph flow differently depending on all of the above issues.
